Meet Our Massage Therapists

Tracey

Hey, I’m Tracey! I’m a 2014 graduate of the Medical Massage Program at Eastern Virginia Career College in Fredericksburg and have been practicing massage therapy at Stewart Family Chiropractic since 2015. I am fascinated by the human body and how all structures and systems work together to keep us moving and grooving. Fascia, the connective tissue that holds us together and gives us structure, is a specific interest of mine. When bound, it can limit range of motion causing pain and tightness. The challenge of finding the source of a client’s discomfort and providing relief through a variety of techniques to include but not limited to myofascial release, cupping, MET, stretching, deep tissue work and use of hot stones, is what I love about massage therapy. By utilizing a variety of techniques within a customized session tailored to a client’s specific needs, I can begin to help ease the discomfort in the most gentle but effective way as to not cause further inflammation. After our session, my goal is for you to leave my table feeling more relaxed, with less pain and increased range of motion. Being able to have direct contact with your doctor at the time of service is an added benefit of medical massage performed within a chiropractic office. As a therapist, it is great to have the ability to work with our doctors to provide you with the best care possible. When not saving the world from tension one muscle at a time, you can find me at my day job as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, eating tacos, listening to music while baking or cooking, reading and or enjoying the great outdoors. Thanks for taking the time to learn about me and I look forward to the opportunity to get to know you! See ya!

Shilo has been practicing massage therapy since 2011 after graduating from A New Beginning School of Massage in Austin, Texas. Her approach to bodywork integrates Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Trigger Point style massage, myofascial cupping and sports stretching. She specializes in therapeutic massage with the intention of assisting the body’s ability to heal itself as well as teaching her clients to provide self-care to progressively reach a point of living without pain. While firm pressure is her strength, relaxation, comfort and healing are still the goal. Shilo enjoys working with clients to resolve chronic pain, headaches and other issues. By adjusting each massage to the individual client, she will provide a very specific massage for your needs.

Paul

Paul has been working as a licensed therapeutic massage therapist (LTMT) for the past ten years. He has always been interested in healing people, knowing personally how chronic pain can affect people, as he was in a near-fatal accident in 2007, where he suffered a torn rotator cuff and bicep tear and needed two surgeries to repair the damage. It was when he decided to attend massage school that he learned that injury and pain could be healed through manipulation of the body. Paul graduated from the massage school program at Heritage College in Columbus, Ohio, in 2015 and subsequently moved to Virginia in 2016. His driving motivation is to help bring physical relief to people who experience severe chronic pain. Most recently this year, Paul attended the certification program in Las Vegas to become a Medical Massage Practitioner (MMP) and now utilizes a variety of new techniques to help people achieve a fuller range of motion. He is particularly interested in assisting with the relief of headaches and migraine. Assisting people to have less pain overall is his passion.
